sometimes we don’t move on. its kind of like if someone was to dig a huge hole in the street. the first few times, you would forget its there and fall into it and get pretty banged up, but as time goes on, you remember that its there and start reminding yourself to just ‘walk around it’.

Beach to me

I love beach compare to any landscape in the world for vacation.  There is something about beach that is irreplaceable.  The sound of the water splashed on the beach and rocks, the sounds of the birds around it, the smell of the water and all creatures around it….gosh….

I miss beaches in Indonesia….very much…

It is not just a quote from a famous person like Kahlil Gibran, I agree 100%.  I, myself, experienced having friends or people who the whole life only care about the outside beauty, body shape, smooth face, sexy figure, nice hair, etc…and of course, the outfits that go with it. Then, they like to compare themselves to others, always feel ‘not .. enough’ and feel sorry for those who are not that pretty or well built (figure wise).  All of those…for what?

I admire sexy and beautiful women, handsome and good looking men… but I care more about the inside.

My view of those who only care about the outside appearance than inside, has the lower place in my view.  I cannot stand people talking bad about others’ appearance.  To me, that is NOT important.

That is why the ‘getting in shape’, ‘getting prettier’, ‘getting the latest fashion mode’, ‘getting well groomed’ discussion DO NOT interest me.

People have their own preference…so don’t judge if other people prefer buying household stuff than perfumes, buying books than make up, buying sports outfit than the latest shoes or outfit..etc.

So, pay attention to your inner beauty, rather than the outside performance… at the end of the day, that is that counts!

I am sad because one of my close friends here in Austin might be diagnosed with cancer.

God, please help her…. please may the biopsy turned to be negative.

Lil Sam shared Birthday Party with Uti

Today is the birthday party for Lil one and Uti (Butet Amick’s mom that visiting from Indonesia).  Our dear friends were so nice to throw a party for Lil Sam and Uti.

I was not planning to make a party for Lil Sam but then Febby said that she would make a cake for the lil one and that she asked me whether I would not mind to celebrate Lil Sam birthday with Uti, that also have the same birthday.  So…yes…that would be wonderful.  Butet Amick, Febby and Butet Inang provided lots of food and Sandra Teh also contributed the Teh Botol.  Very very nice of them.  I am so touched.

Febby made a beautiful birthday cake for Lil Sam with his favorite show character, Curious George.  It turned out so nice and the cake was so delicious…  WOW… thank you again.

We had pinata, goodie bags, balloons, food, drink, and chit chat… the weather was so nice and not cold at all….  Lil Sam was enjoying his freedom outside…and got to blow the candle as well.

Uti also had the cake for her made by Febby and tumpeng made by his daughter, Butet.

All in all, it was a blast and Lil Sam got lots of presents and money…  what a blessing.
