I am just amazed that I have been persistent keeping my hair long. The last time I had hair this long was when I was about to graduate from the college…. gosh..it was long time ago.

My Baby Ultrasound at 16 Weeks July 24, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 3:34 am

I went to an ultrasound appointment today. It should have been done two weeks ago, but silly me, I was mistakenly put the 1:00pm instead of 11:30am two weeks ago. So, I missed it and rescheduled it. So, there I was at the OBGYN getting my ultrasound.

It was an 16 weeks ultrasound so it was not the one who could tell me the exact gender of the baby. So, I have to wait for another 4 weeks for my other ultrasound if I want to know exactly what I am having.

So, here is some pics from the ultrasound:

We went to a Birthday party this morning… gosh…the party was at 9:45am….so early.
It was in Main Event, a big entertainment and games center in Austin.
So, I just dropped Jonah off the party and went to the Asian Store with River.

After that, we pretty much stayed home….;)

Some changes at home July 22, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 4:33 pm

I am so tired today after getting back from San Antonio. I had to go back early in the morning so I could be with the boys when Sam works from home. Also today is the installation of the AT&T U-Verse package in our house, which includes, Cable, Internet and Home Phone.

The U-Verse guy came and installed them but then we found out that we are only allowed to watch one HD TV in our house…but we have 3 TVs. So, if one of us watch HD, then the others don’t have access to watch HD. Also, it only allows one TV for pausing at the same time…so, we did not like the deal.
We talked to the guy and he said that was because our house is a bit far from their pole.

Gosh…. then we decided to drop the cable but keep the internet and home phone which is cheaper than what we pay right now.

We keep our Satellite Dish…and added some movie program on it.

Well, the search continues? neah…not really.

Went to see Gaither Vocal Band Concert in San Antonio, TX July 22, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 2:32 pm

On July 21st, me and a dear friend of mine saw a GVB (Gaither Vocal Band) concert at Majestic Theatre San Antonio, Texas. It was such a great concert. And the important and exciting thing was that I got to see my favorite singers that usually I just watched them on TV or DVDs. The new formation of Gaither Vocal Band consists of Bill Gaither, Mark Lowry, Michael English, David Phelps and Wes Hampton. Their harmony is the best and Mark and Bill as usual made the audience laughed hard.

We did not get good seats because we were way out back there, but still could see evertything. I love when Bill and Kevin Williams teased each other, well, mostly Kevin teased Bill. Also I got to see Gordon Mott, their wonderful pianist. There were also, Wesley Pritchard who lately has been playing bass for the Gaither Vocal Band, and also Greg Ritchie on the drums…and surprisingly..there were Jason Crabb from the Crabb family and the Issacs!!! Wow…what a blast.

The Issacs are the best for singing acapella harmony….mom, Sonya, Becky and Ben Issac are the very very good.

Larry Gatlin was also in the audience..but he did not sing….still, it was good to see him.

After the concert that run for 4 hours…hehehehe…we went to Hard Rock Cafe and while we were there, I saw Wesley Pritchard and his friends eating there too…but I left him alone…;)

I did not take picture of the concert since they did not allow any camera…and they taped the concert for GVB DVD…which was cool with me.

San Antonio Trip with the Boys…. July 4, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 3:23 am

For the 4th of July, I was wondering what would I do with the family. Sam asked me if I had arranged something and I said no. So, then, I tried to look up at the online travel sight and looked at some hotel in San Antonio. It would be nice to go there just for one night trip and see the firework or whatever they have for 4th of July celebration.

The hotels of course were so pricey, especially the ones along the riverwalk. So then I went to the Priceline website that have ‘name your own price’ facility. Then I put $99 just for the fun of it for the 4 or higher stars hotels along Riverwalk area. And within one minute I got a confirmation that my price was approved and they put me on Omni de la Mansion…the hotel that usually charge $200 a night. Wow…I was so happy but then I was not sure whether we could go there..it was just sort of a last minute deal for us. We had to find a place for Wilson (our dog) because although the hotel allow dog, but bringing dog for a fun trip would be such a good idea for our family, especially a dog like Wilson….;) if you know what I meant.

So, after a day looking for a boarding home for Wilson with no result, because of the 4th of July weekend, we decided that Sam stayed home with Wilson and I would drive with the boys to San Antonio.

So, on Friday the 3rd, I packed up a duffel bag and drove to SA with the boys. It only took us an hour from Austin to San Antonio and we arrived in one of the nice hotels in SA. We went sightseeing, taking a cruise along the riverwalk, eating sushi and so on, we had some fun…. Of course we missed Sam that had to stay home with Wilson…but then again, he liked to be home than being among lots of people in SA for 4th of July weekend…;)

So here some pics of us:

Swimming Lesson for The Boys June 15, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 3:09 am

Finally after a long wait, the boys got to get their swimming lesson. I enrolled them at the one in Cedar Park, not in our neighborhood. Tina, my friend in Austin, also enrolled her son, Nathan, for the swimming lesson, so the boys would have another friend to take the lesson with.
I was pleasantly surprised that the boys really were enjoying the swimming lesson. They were always looking forward to it and kept practicing on their own too.
I am so proud of them.

Usually after the lesson which was from 9:00 – 10:30AM for both boys, Tina and I and also our little rascals went somewhere for lunch…and sometimes we invited other friends to join us. Just a nice time to hang out with friends.

So, here some pics of them on the swimming lesson:

Arlington Trip for Ria’s Wedding June 8, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — annedowns @ 4:15 am

In June 5-7, I went to Arlington TX with Dian Smith, Ida Gultom and Paula Shaw (these two friends are from San Antonio) to attend our good friend’s wedding, Ria and Jim Jackson. They drove from SA to Austin and joined my minivan with Dian to go to Arlington. I drove and we had a good time. We stayed at Wati’s place and boy, she served us very good with her super yummy food. Thank you so much, Mbak!

On Friday night, we went for a bachelorette party for Mpok Ria. We went to a club called Iron Cactus in Gaylord Hotel area, Texas. It was a fun night with the gals… I met Yuni, Shinta, Vevvy, Yanti, Tina and of course, the bride to be, Mpok Ria.

The wedding itself took place on Saturday the 6th. It was a private and serene wedding and it was so beautiful. Ria and Jim were so wonderful….. I wish them happiness forever and ever!

I am pregnant…wow…
I was not sure that I was until I bought two pack of pregnancy tests. The reason why I bought them was because I missed my period about a week and I did not feel any sign of having period soon. So, although I was surprised to know that I am pregnant from the test, but I was kinda expecting it.
So there is baby on the make, Everyone!
