I found what I have been looking for January 19, 2006

I am very easy to get touched.
This time I am touched by the gospel songs and people who sing gospel songs.
I began to watch more gospel program and it makes me feel so peaceful and relax.

After watching Elvis gospel DVD..about his songs and passion for the gospel and the Word of God, I am starting to find the gospel program on the TV/Dish network.
I found the program of Bill Gaither Gospel and it is JUST like the one I have been longing.
I like all their songs…
I am getting to know more gospel singers….mostly they were already dead. But their work all their life proved that their really incredible….singing with their heavenly voice.
Some names like Howard and Vestal Goodman, Jake Hess, JD Sumner, The Carlin Brothers, The Statesmen, The Jordanaires, The Imperials, The Stamps, The Cathedral, etc…etc…too many to mention. Some of the members are still alive.

I don’t like the contemporer Christian music. Mostly they don’t sing to praise God but just to make money. The music is too loud and it is hard to listen to what they sing.
They make improvisasion that are not fit in the song… It is like listen to the trash music only with some God words in it…. So poor….

People may think that I am old fashioned and not open minded…. well, they can say what they want…. old songs work better for me…

I am just so happy to have the opportunity to have some ‘beautiful’ gospel songs…..

My Thoughts about rising children January 12, 2006

I know that having children is a wonderful thing. I cannot deny that and I thank God to have precious children like mine.

But the thought of making everything just for the children sake bothers me.

I remember someone said “don’t let the children change the marriage”, means, it is ok to have children and to care for them, but we have to have a life as a marriage couple too.

We are the one who responsible and setting the example for them, not the other way.

So, when we usually go out as a couple, spend time together as a couple, we have to have that eventhough we have children.
They will learn that their parents are loving people, enjoy time as husband and wife and they will take is as a good example.

It doesn’t help to give all our time for children and give everything they want. They are too small to be in charge of anything and that responsibility burdened them. We don’t want our children to be stressed, do we?

The children is part of the family. They have to make adjustment to fit in the family, not the other way around.

Just my thought about children…. They need us to teach them how to be loving, responsible and caring….

For that we have to set good examples…..

I love my children…..and those are my thoughts.

Nostalgia Jajanan January 9, 2006

Bangun pagi2 gue kepikiran jajanan di Indo…. Waduh, air liur kayak mau tumpah….. Gue inget jajanan favorit gue waktu dulu….martabak2an….yang dijual di depan sekolah SD….waduh itu favorit dah…. Kalau full harganya Rp. 50,- kalau setengah cuma jigo….. Gue lebih seneng martabak2an itu daripada yang bener2 martabak…..
Selera kampung sih…hehehhee
Terus yang favorit juga tuh bubur ayam….tapi yang ala kampung, bukan yang udah pake macem2….. walau gue liat sendiri nyuci mangkoknya cuma dicelup di ember kecil yang udah kotor bareng ama daon2an apa tau….tapi kok sedap aja ya rasanya…. udah buburnya dikit, ayamnya cekak banget..cuma serat2 bisa diitung berapa biji, yang penting, sambelnya banyak…hehehhehe…
Waduh, bener2 ngiler gue sekarang….
Terus waktu di SMP gue seneng banget sama tahu slawi….itu loh, tahu mungil yang dikasih aci….aduhhhh enak banget…satunya jigo….. dan kalau nggak buru2 beli, bakalan abis blassss….. kalau abis pulangnya gue usaha bikin sendiri…kagak pernah berhasil…enakan yang beli kemana2…
Terus apa lagi ya jajanan paporit ikke….hmmmm…oh ya, bakso di samping SMP 1 dulu…gile rek…walau tukang jualannya judes, tapi baksonya enak (bakso yang dimangkok maksudeeeee). Waktu itu masih termasuk mahal menurut ukuran kantong gue… lah uang jajan gue cuma cukup beli satu mangkok bakso dan es doger doang…setelah itu bengong sampe pulang….hiks…hiks….. jaman depresi bow.

Kalau SMA…wah jangan ditanya….Bubur ayam depan SMA 3 Bogor….. itu mah si mamangnya kalau ngeliat gerombolan kelas gue turun istirahat, langsung minggir… lah kita2 waktu itu ngeracik sendiri…. sampe mamangnya nyerah…ambil aja deh Neng, katanya…. hihihihihi..kaciaanann…tapi gimana dong….
Inget lagi jadi ngilerrrr lagi….

Kalau dirumah gue seneng nyetopin tukang maranggi… tau nggak? itu loh kulit yang di apain tahu…terus makannya pake sambel kacang…. satunya cuma jigo…tapi emang ditusukin sate kecil2…. yang jualan biasanya anak2 kecil….marraaanggggiiiiiii….
Udah gue nemplok aja di teras…..

Kalau waktu kerja, langganan gue setiap mau masuk Gedung Sentra Mulia (tempat ikke dulu mangkal) selalu beli bekel di bawah jembatan penyebrangan yang ke Pasar Festival…. disitu gorengannya enak2 banget…..
Terus kalau gue udah masuk dan duduk manis di meja….gue panggil temen2 deket gue (Yoka atau Lily) dan ngajak mereka ke lantai 11 buat beli makanan yang dijual satu ibu2…. mendoannya enak banget….. kadang gue makan pas gue lagi ngetik2….sempet kepergok boss2 beberapa kali….bodo amirrrrr…nyang penting kampung tengah so penuh noooohhhh….

Wah, nostalgia jajanan emang ga ada abis2nya…..dan bikin gue ngiler… Bikin cireng ah…

Shopping (ups, sleeping) time January 6, 2006

River and I enjoy shopping together (well, sort of). No choice for him other than just going with me browsing around the malls/shopping centers/grocery stores after we drop Jonah at his school.
So, yesterday I took him to the Old Navy Store and he started to get whiny…coughing a lot and finally because I just ignored him, he felt asleep…. hehehhehe.
Good for both of us, he got to rest and I got to browse more…..

I am in Love… January 3, 2006

I am in love… Yes, you bet I am… I am in love with Elvis Gospel Songs….
Gosh..it has been a while since I listened to his gospel songs. I used to listen to his songs with my dad in Bogor. We are just a big fans of Elvis…especially his gospel songs.

Here, known that my husband like the gospel songs too, I get motivated to listen more and more…and it is refreshing…. all of them.

Everytime I heard those songs….I feel at peace and calm down. Something about how he sang them make me feel so touched.
God work in special way….in any way…..
