Jonah’s first day at school. How exciting and made me nervous at the same time. My first boy is going to school… wow, how time flies.
He goes to Steiner Ranch Elementary,an exemplary school here in Texas.
Jonah and I woke up at 6:20AM. He is a morning boy so without having to wake him up or force him to get up from his bed, he was already ready to get downstairs. I gave him breakfast which was cereal as usual. He ate it and I prepared things for him to take and wear. We were ready at about 6:55AM and I drove him to a shuttle bus. The distance from our house to the shuttle bus at the park is about 1-2 minutes, and the distance from the shuttle bus stop (at the park) to the school is 1-2 minutes….;) But Jonah likes to take the bus and has been dreaming and wanting to ride a school bus, so there we were…waiting for our shuttle bus in the park.
Jonah is a very independent boy. Without hesitating he jumped on the bus and said goodbye to me. He is a good and big boy now. Somehow I was sad..and still is… my baby is growing up…and will keep growing up and I cannot treat him as a baby anymore…holding him, kissing him as much as I want…etc.
Oh well… life goes on…so do we….
See ya when you get home, Baby…. Momma loves you so much….

At about 2:55PM River and I were ready to pick Jonah up again in the park. I picked River at 2:00PM from his preschool. His preschool is about 15 minutes driving. We live in Steiner Ranch, Austin. So to get to anywhere have to add an extra 5-10 minutes. But we like our neighborhood and area..so quiet and nice..especially with the hills and lakes.
So, the bus came about 3:10PM due to the first day. Jonah greeted us with a smile and he said that he likes school. Cool!!
After playing a little bit in the park we went home and rested.
What a day.
