Haloween? October 30, 2007

Hmm..today was a busy day for me and the boys. Jonah went to school this morning and will have the story and tell session. He will talk about the clock, and bring my clock with him.
I am not sure what he will talk about, I think he will talk about what time I get him up in the morning, lunch time…etc…;)

At 8:45AM as usual I drove the boys (River and Marco) to their school. Today is a Haloween Hop event for their school, actually, today and tomorrow.
So, River put on the batman costume. It was Jonah’s costume from last year… This year River picked Diego costume, but because it is cold in the morning, it is not wise to wear that. So, he wore Batman costume instead. Still looks nice.

I volunteered in his class for one hour…. from 10:30-11:30AM. So before that I went to the bank and the store. I had a good time with the kids and took pictures of them.

After that I went to the Seoul Food at FM 2222. The food is good but the service was a bit harsh. They weren’t friendly. So, not sure I will come back.

Then I went home and waited for River. River said he wanted to play in Marco’s house, so he went there and I picked him up to pick Jonah at the park.
We went to the park and after Jonah arrived, the boys played for a little bit. I reminded them to go home soon to get some rest because in the afternoon there will be a karate haloween party at Jonah’s karate class.
So, they will dress up again and have a haloween party.

My goodness… haloween party? I am getting tired of it.
Tomorrow, there will be another haloween Hop in River’s preschool and in the afternoon there will be a haloween party in Steiner Ranch neighborhood at John Simpson Park from 4:30-5:30PM…then going trick’n treating. Before that in the morning, Jonah school will have a Nursery Rhyme parade when the children will dress up in Nursery Rhyme character and recite some nursery rhyme lines.
Gosh….more work for momma…… of course.

Thursday again October 25, 2007

Brrr..another cold day. Today River has a school off day. So he stays with me at home…good luck, Son…;)

I dropped Jonah off the shuttle bus as usual and went home…continued my sleep as long as I can. But with River around…hmmmm…not sure I could get more sleep.

Sam went to work as usual..with a reminder from me to take it easy on himself. Yesterday he overdone it and went home with the big headache and stress.
I hope you are doing better today, Hon.

I hope he exercises too. It was nice that his office building has a free fitness program and facility. So he can just go there twice a week during lunch time to exercise, with or without the instructor.
He likes it….

Hmm…what else going on today? Oh yes, I will go for volunteering at Stallion Stampede (running program in Jonah’s school). So I will take River with me and be in the school field for about 30-45 minutes. Not bad, I need the exercise myself.

So, let see…what else…. hmm…I will drive the cruiser again…so far so good. Hopefully my Ody will be done by tomorrow. I miss it already…;)

Rental Car Day…;) October 24, 2007

Starting with a cold weather again this morning, but I think we were a bit used to it. Jonah didn’t whine that it was cold anymore. He was OK with only sweater…;)

After dropped Jonah, and then River and Marco to their school, I went to the the repair facility for getting my car fixed. Then I called the rental car to pick me up. The car will be in the garage for 3 days…so I need a rental car.
Guess what I got? hehehhe..PTCruiser.

Not that I am complaining…but I am used to a big car and non-Japanese car is not my favorite car…so, you figure it out.

But it rides nicely and I rode drove safely….

Wish me luck….;)

And oh…I forgot my garage remote, I left it in my Odyssey…dang!

Monday Rain October 22, 2007

Today I woke up so slow…as usual. Also, it was raining and still raining now. It is colder than usual. I woke Jonah up and prepared him breakfast, just cereal as usual. Then River woke up too. I would like it better when he sleeps longer so that I could take Jonah without having to take care River too.
But, hey…we have two boys…;)

After breakfast and quick rinse, we went to the bus shuttle. It was raining so we just stayed in the car, waiting for the bus which came late. We rushed to the bus, and River stayed in the car watching DVD.

One man pushed me from behind, I thought he was being funny, but it turned out he thought I was one of the students…. wow, me? elementary student? come on!!!

Well, gotta go to take care the other boy….. will update later.

Pheww..it rained so hard on the way to River’s school. As usual I took River and Marco (our neighbor’son to go to the school together). They watched DVD on the back seat..as usual. They were very good at that…as usual.
It was muddy to in the preschool back parking lot and left my car full of mud

I decided to go to the post office on Anderson Mill and 183 to post a present for my friend and postcards for Ian and Ola.
Then off I went home. The traffic was not that bad, UN-usual…;)

When I got home, I saw Sam’s Accord still on our driveway….hmm…he works for home hey? ….. weeellllllhhhhhhh….;)

I called Susi and chatted for a little bit until her battery went off… It was always good to talk to friends back in Indonesia…full of memory…full of laughter and jokes…a lot of FUN.

Well, not much to do… just sitting here in front of my iMac…modifying my blog and listening to Michael English, David Phelps, Gaither Homecomings songs, Amy Grant, and Sam’s drums on the background….

One update October 22, 2007

Here I am again, after a long pause not writing my journal. I found myself so busy all the time these days. I know, I know, some of you might ask, why?, considering I am not working outside and just being a mom to my two boys and a wife.
Oh well..that ONLY is not as simple as it sounds. Many things to be arranged, taken care of and managed. I don’t want to specify one by one what I have been done and will do as part of my busy days… just want to say it is so much to do.

I have never imagined before that being a mom to school age boys is so busy and tiring.

Once a while I check my emails, multiply, friendster, etc…then go off to do something else. Even browsing for things take a big chunk of my time.

Oh well..still adjusting…nothing to complain.

I know that God is with me and will show me the way to relax.

Lebaran Lunch with Austin-Indonesian family October 15, 2007

On Sunday the 13th of October, we went to a Lebaran/Idul Fitri Lunch with Indonesian families in Austin and the surroundings. The lunch took place at Java Garden restaurant, an Indonesian owner. They serve Indonesian buffet on Sunday only. Sandra was the one who arranged the lunch and I thanked her for doing that. I got to meet some new friends and met friends that I already know.

The food was OK but mostly the socializing was the very important one. Sam as usual brought his camera and took some pictures of the people.

After chatting and eating…we said goodbye to friends and continued to shop in Central Market. Our new favorite store here in Austin.
